"Symphony Youth Concert ":  Feb. 5th, 2008


Tuesday, February 5---Annie Merner Chapel, MacMurray College

The featured work will be "Peter and the Wolf", by Prokofiev, narrated by Allen Stare

A section of the program entitled "Let's Hear the Orchestra Dance!" will include:
Slavonic Dance in C, Op. 46 No. 1, by Dvorak
Russian Sailor's Dance, by Gliere
Dance of the Clowns, from "A Midsummer's Night Dream", by Mendelssohn
Can Can from "Orpheus in the Underworld", by Offenbach

On a lighter note, the program will inlude two favorites by Henry Mancini:
The Baby Elephant Walk
The Pink Panther
